Kids’ Christmas Shoppe
New to the festival this year, the Kids’ Christmas Shoppe will be housed inside Prosper Town Hall. The Shoppe will be a fun, secure place for children, ages 4 to 12, to buy a maximum of 4 gifts for parents and siblings. Parents will wait in the wings while an Event Staff member guides the child through the store and gift wrap area. With gifts priced $5 and under, the Kids’ Christmas Shoppe will accept CASH ONLY and will not be equipped to accept credit cards.
How it works: At 2:45 p.m., the Shoppe registration table will open outside Town Hall. Parents may select a 15-minute time slot (from 3:00 p.m. to 6:15 p.m.) to register their child to shop. Matching wristbands will be assigned to parent and child indicating the shopping time slot. Upon returning to Town Hall at the pre-selected shopping time, parents will drop off the child to shop (with an Event Staff member*) while they wait. Items purchased will be tagged and gift wrapped.
Proceeds from the Kids’ Christmas Shoppe will benefit the Prosper Parks and Recreation Scholarship Fund, a partnership with Cornerstone Assistance Network NTC, to offer free and reduced rate classes and programs to deserving Prosper residents.
The Kids Christmas Shoppe is brought to you by Cook Children’s Health Care System.
