Celebrate Christmas in Prosper!

The annual Prosper Christmas Festival is moving back to downtown Prosper! Along with the move in location, the 2019 Prosper Christmas Festival will have extended hours, taking place from 3 – 7 p.m. Arrive early to enjoy the Rotary Christmas Parade, which begins at 2:30 p.m. Stay late to experience the annual Community Tree Lighting and fireworks under the stars about 7:00 p.m.

Celebrate “Moved and Improved”

The festival is moving back in downtown Prosper and the event has been expanded! The 2019 festival will be a shopping destination for all members of the family! From hair bows to high-end art, the event will showcase one-of-a-kind items, in a range of prices, including personalized creations, apparel, upscale home accessories, boutique home decor, and specialty foods. Plan to enjoy all the improved attractions! Stay awhile, visit with talented artisans, catch a live demonstration, enjoy a horse-drawn carriage ride, and stop in to the Kids Christmas Shoppe! The Shoppe gives children the opportunity to shop for and purchase moderately priced gifts (cash only, please) for parents and siblings in a secure environment. Proceeds benefit the Parks and Recreation Department Scholarship Fund. 

Celebrate Tradition

Keeping with Prosper Christmas Festival tradition, Santa Claus will greet children at his Prosper Workshop filled with fun, interactive craft projects! The Kids Fun Zone returns this year and is sure to delight with rides and inflatables. Food trucks will be located on the grounds, along with exhibits from sponsors, businesses and organizations. The ever-popular Community Stage will feature local musicians and student choirs throughout the event. Also, Child ID bracelets will be available at no charge at the shuttle sites and also at the event. Parents with small children are encouraged to take advantage of the program and write a phone number on a bracelet.

Make sure to stay to see Mayor Ray Smith and the kids count down to the Community Tree Lighting and end the night with a fireworks show under the stars!
